Desert Central Bar is a solo real-time sci-fi environment created in Unreal Engine 5, built around a monumental circular bar that serves as both the visual focal point and the social center of the space.
The environment was developed from blockout through final presentation using a modular production workflow. I was responsible for environment design, modeling, UVs, PBR materials, procedural material development, set dressing, lighting, animated screen graphics, and cinematic presentation.
Modular wall, seating, entrance, pillar, and utility elements were designed to support efficient scene assembly while maintaining a consistent architectural language across multiple areas. Custom materials created in Substance 3D Designer include checker flooring, worn wood, tufted leather, and desert-rock surfaces.
Lighting and composition were refined to preserve spatial readability and material response within the saturated red-and-amber palette, while the circular bar remains the primary navigational and visual anchor throughout the environment.
